Here we will attempt to address the most commonly asked questions, to help you get the most out of your CareerPortal experience.

How do I submit my CV in word or document format?

Unfortunately we do not accept CV’s that are sent to branches or transmitted via email attachments. The CareerPortal will guide you through creating a CV in our database that can easily be searched and reference by our network of recruiters. Hence, it is vital that you complete your profile as thoroughly as possible.

Why do I need to complete my profile online?

Completing your profile online gives our network of recruiter’s immediate access to all your particulars through our intelligent search and match system.

When you apply for a vacancy online or we match your CV through searching, we can immediately send your CV to our clients in a neat, professional and presentable format. This will dramatically speed up the placement process.

Maintaining your profile online also means that you do not have to worry about Adecco having an outdated copy of your CV. The more frequently you update your information, the better your chances are at being matched to new job offers.

How do I complete my profile online?

Once you have completed the signup process and received your login details, you should proceed to finalize your profile by logging in and clicking on “Maintain your profile”. There are 4 main categories that will collect all the necessary information that we require to fast track your application namely:

  1. Change Password: When you register we will automatically generate a password for you to access your secure account. Once logged in; you have to choose your own unique password which is easy for you to remember.
  2. My CV: Herein can enter all your relevant career history information. You can copy and paste from a document into the applicable fields if you wish.
  3. Submit Keywords: These keywords along with the information contained in your CV with help to identify jobs that are relevant to your experience, as well as enable our network of recruiters to identify you when they are searching for a specific set of skills. The more specific your keywords are relating to your skills, the easier you are to find.
  4. Job Preference: Here you can tell us what you are looking for exactly. When we load a new job and it matches your preference, our network of recruiters will immediately be notified that you are a match.

How do I apply for a vacancy?

Once you have completed your profile, simply click on the “Find your job” icon. You can choose to view all our jobs on offer or you can browse our jobs by industry. Once you have found the job that you are interested in you can simply click the apply button. Our recruiters will immediately be notified of your application.

How do I contact a recruiter?

Different vacancies are handled by different recruiters. Once you have applied for a vacancy that you are interested in, you can click on the “View your active applications” button. This will display a list of all the vacancies that you have applied for that is still available. Next to the corresponding vacancy you will see a “Contact” button. Clicking that button allows you to email the recruiter who is dealing with that specific vacancy.

You have tried to register, but the system prompts you that you are already registered.

Perhaps you forgot that you have registered with us before? You can have your login details resent to your email address or you can contact support to notify us that someone is using your ID/Passport no.

I have forgotten my username and password.

Have it resent to your email address.

I have registered, but still not received my validation email or email containing my password.

Free email services such as Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo etc. detects our emails as spam and depending on the junk email settings on your email client these mails might be blocked or even deleted. If you have not received these emails within 24 hours, you can contact support who will manually send these to you again.
